Teva Pharmaceutical Moving On High Volume Again (TEVA)

Shares of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NASDAQ: TEVA) are moving higher again today on heavier than normal volume. Thus far, the stock has gained 1.85% to $63.14 during the trading session. Over 8.4 million shares have already exchanged hands compared to a daily average of 5.53 million. The activity in the name is a result of yesterday's announcement that Teva (TEVA) will acquire German generic drug company, Ratiopharm. This deal has been warmly received by Wall Street, as the stock spiked yesterday on the news.

TEVA has gained over 19% in just the last three months. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a global pharmaceutical company that develops, produces and markets generic drugs covering all treatment categories. The company is based in Israel and trades on the Nasdaq exchange as an ADR. Teva has a current market cap of $58.32 billion.
