Carl Icahn's Largest Positions (BIIB, GENZ, MOT, YHOO)
Legendary activist investor, Carl Icahn, has made some big bets in the biotechnology sector. Two of his largest holdings are Genzyme (NASDAQ: GENZ) and Biogen Idec (NASDAQ: BIIB). Icahn's position in GENZ is worth around $235 million. His investment in Biogen (BIIB) is valued at over $688 million.
In addition to his biotech positions, Icahn also is heavily invested in both Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO). His Motorola (MOT) allocation is the largest in his portfolio, at nearly $1 billion. His Yahoo (YHOO) stake is worth around $200 million.
