Jeffrey Ubben’s ValueAct Capital is a fund focused on long-term investments. It usually holds about 15 equity positions and changes only three or four of them for new ones each year.
In its latest 13F filing for the fourth quarter of 2014, the fund disclosed two new purchases, five additional acquisitions, four stake reductions and only one closing of a pre-existing position. Following these transactions, its equity portfolio is worth almost $16 billion.
