Why to Attend the Eighth Annual Spring Value Investing Congress
Steven Romick, David Nierenberg, Marcelo Lima and Zeke Ashton -- these are just a few of the talented traders, hedge fund managers and financial professionals that are lined up to speak at the Eighth Annual Spring Value Investing Congress in Las Vegas this year.
Guy Gottfried, who spoke fondly of The Brick (OTC: BRK) during a previous Value Investing Congress, will also be speaking at the upcoming event. After Gottfried famously recommended The Brick, the stock soared more than 95 percent. His market-moving recommendation was an invaluable piece of advice for those who attended the Value Investing Congress.
The event's official website is overflowing with praise from members of the financial community, including Pershing Square Capital Management founder and CEO Bill Ackman.
"The value of attending the Congress is that you get great investing ideas," said Ackman.
Legg Mason's Robert Hagstrom said that the event provides a "great intellectual workout" and is "well worth the trip."
"I give it my highest recommendation and I urge you to attend," Pabrai Investment Funds' Mohnish Pabrai asserted.
West Coast Asset Management's Lance Helfert said that it is "the only conference where the speakers stay for the whole thing to learn alongside the other attendees."
"I get excited about this conference because of the quality of the money managers who are presenting and the high quality of their research," said Sabre Value Management's Aaron Edelheit.
Trapeze Asset Management's Randall Abramson attended for a couple of reasons. "I attend the conference to gain ideas for my portfolios as a money manager and to solidify my own investment philosophy," he said.
Atlantic Investment Management's Alexander Roepers argues that it is "the best investing conference I know of."
With so many endorsing the Eighth Annual Spring Value Investing Congress in Las Vegas, investors won't be able to resist attending. Scheduled to take place on May 6 and 7, 2013, the upcoming event will feature a number of other prominent speakers, including Whitney Tilson, Cara Jacobsen, Phillip Goldstein and John Hempton.
