announced Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Thales Training & Simulation Ltd's civil aircraft simulation and training business. The purchase price is £83 million (approximately $132 million) and will be funded with cash on hand. The acquisition is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2012, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and will be substantially structured as an asset purchase for income tax purposes. For the 12 months ending December 31, 2012, the new civil aircraft training and simulation business is expected to generate sales of approximately $150 million. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to L-3's results of operations. L-3 Communications closed at $68.23 Wednesday, a gain of 1.22% on average volume.

has put itself up for sale according to Reuters sources. TravelZoo's share price has fallen sharply since hitting a high over $100 in April 2011. A spokesperson for TravelZoo would not comment on the Reuters report, saying the company was currently in a "quiet period". TravelZoo closed at $27.06 Wednesday, a gain of 28% on 9 times the average daily volume.

, according to sources. Shandong was first rumored to have bid $9.30 per share to acquire Jaguar back on November 16, 2011. Neither party confirmed that offer. Benzinga attempted to contact Jaguar Mining, but the company failed to respond. Jaguar Mining closed at $3.54 Wednesday, a loss of 23% on 8 times the average daily volume.

may be getting an investment from a Chinese wealth fund. Sources say the fund may be taking a 20% stake in Transocean for as much as $65 per share.
