There was much chatter regarding the stock on Twitter and in chat rooms today, where the move was described as a 'bounce' or a 'short-squeeze'. Atrinsic shares traded Wednesday in a range of $0.01 to $0.03 and closed at the high of the day.

Shares of LCA-Vision

, the Cincinnati, OH provider of fixed-site laser vision correction services under the LasikPlus brand, rose 35% Wednesday on 8 times the average daily volume. LCA-Vision reported Wednesday that 14,205 procedures were performed during the fourth quarter of 2011, an increase of 30% compared with 10,891 procedures during the fourth quarter of 2010. Same-store procedures increased by 33% from 10,671 procedures during the fourth quarter of 2010, the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year same-store procedure growth. LCA-Vision will release fourth quarter 2011 financial results prior to market opening on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. LCA-Vision shares traded Wednesday in a range of $3.39 to $4.36, closing at $4.17.

Shares of Complete Genomics

, the Mountain View, CA life sciences company, rose 21% Wednesday on 3 times the average daily volume. Complete Genomics has fallen from a high of $18.55 in June to $2.57 last week. The stock was the subject of dozens of tweets on Wednesday, where it was described as hitting a "possible bottom".
