Another quiet day for M&A rumors, with only one surfacing.

MetLife to Buy Genworth Financial

Rumor: MetLife (NYSE: MET) to acquire Genworth Financial (NYSE: GNW) for $11.50 per share in cash and stock.

Benzinga placed calls into both MetLife and Genworth. A MetLife spokesperson would not comment specifically on that rumor, but said the company has an active M&A department and looks for opportunities that fit the company's profile.

Genworth Financial did not respond.

Shares of Genworth Financial traded in a range of $6.51 to $7.05 on slightly more than the average daily volume. Genworth ended the day at $6.54, a loss of 5.63% for the day.
