Market Rally Led by Consumer Goods and Health Care
This week's volatility has continued into today's session, as major U.S. Indexes have undergone huge swings, alternating between positive and negative territory.
The S&P 500 (SPX) went from a morning high of 1,218.11 (9:35am), to an intraday low of 1,168.09 (11:55am), to its current level of 1,210.02 (+9.95 points).
The Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DJI) swung from an intraday high of 11,554.88 (9:32am), to an intraday low of 11,146.11 (11:56am), to its current level of 11,515.39 (+131 points).
The NASDAQ, which had been the weakest area of the market in the morning session, moved from a high of 2,592.04, to an intraday low of 2,465.13 (11:55am), to its current level of 2,560 (+4 points).
The market's recent rally has been led by the Consumer Goods and Health Care Sectors, which are currently up 1.9% and 1.4% respectively on the session.
The S&P 500 Consumer Goods Sector has been the strongest area of the market since the opening bell, just barely slipping into negative territory throughout the heavy selloff.
