The S&P 500 traded in positive territory for most of session on Wednesday, but sellers came in around 2:25pm, as the index neared its intraday high of 1298.61. The S&P proceeded to drop 11.47 points to close at 1287.14 – down 8.38 on the day.

The Consumer Services Sector was the weakest area of the market in Wednesday's session, losing 0.84% on the day. The worst performing stocks in the S&P 500 Consumer Services Sector in today's action were:

1) Gannet (NYSE: GCI): Shares of Gannet closed down 3.9% from yesterday's close to $13.61.

2) Gamestop (NYSE: GME): Shares of Gamestop closed down 3.5% from yesterday's close to $26.54.

3) Sears Holdings (NASDAQ: SHLD): Shares of Sears Holdings closed down 3.4% from yesterday's close to $71.01.

Strength in the Sector: The following stocks showed signs of strength in Wednesday's session, despite overall sector weakness:
