Big Name Health Care Stocks Plunging

The Health Care Sector is one of the worst performing areas of the market in today's session, currently down 1.3%.

Some of the worst performing Health Care stocks right now are:

1) Pfizer (NYSE: PFE): Shares of Pfizer are currently trading down 2.9% from yesterday's close to $20.16. The stock has broken below its 50-day simple moving average (one year daily chart) in today's session. Shares have lost 6% since hitting a 52-week high of $21.45 on June 1st. The year-to-date performance for Pfizer has been a gain of 17.5%.

2) Tenet Healthcare (NYSE: THC): Shares of Tenet Healthcare are currently trading down 2.7% from yesterday's close to $5.95. The stock is looking to break below its 200-day simple moving average ($5.89 on a one year daily chart).

3) Covidien (NYSE: COV): Shares of Covidien are currently trading down 2.3% from yesterday's close to $53.68. The stock has broken below its 50-day simple moving average in today's session. The stock has lost 7% since setting a 52-week high of $57.65 on May 19th. A bearish double top formation appears to have taken shape on a one year daily chart.

4) Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW): Shares of Edwards Lifesciences are currently trading down 2.2% from yesterday's close to $84.56. The stock broke below its 50-day simple moving average (one year daily chart) in today's session. The next support level does not come into play until $80.44.

5) Medtronic (NYSE: MDT): Shares of Medtronic are currently trading down 2% from yesterday's close to $38.08. The stock is nearing a key support level at $36.10. Beyond that, no support comes into play until $33.
