Art Hogan, Global Products Equities Director at Jefferies & Co. is on CNBC with his pick of the week, and Hogan picks Expedia (NASDAQ: EXPE).

Hogan is saying that there are major concerns about travel data in the U.S., but recent data, even as recent as yesterday from Comscore (NASDAQ: SCOR), show that there is a significant increase in Q4 data in terms of traveling. It looks as if traveling is back.

Expedia is also highly levered to the hotel business, and occupancy rates in the hotel business have been climbing, so this should be good for Expedia.

Shares of EXPE are up 41 cents in pre-market trading to $26.39, a gain of 1.6%.
