COMSCORE, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) said that Cyber Monday surpassed $1 billion in sales, making it the largest online shopping day in history.

For the holiday season-to-date, $13.55 billion has been spent online, a 13% increase over the same time frame last year.

A few of the prime beneficiaries of this trend are Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) and United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS), and investors might want to consider adding or initiating a position in these names for the rest of the year, as more consumers shop online for gifts.

Disclosure: long UPS
