New customers were announced today for Cisco's (NASDAQ: CSCO) EOS platform. These customers include the Travel Channel (in HD) (NASDAQ: DISCA), All Access Today, and Tenth Street Entertainment.

In addition, Cisco announced partnerships with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and France Telecom (BIT:FTE) for their in-home video conferencing hardware. They stated that the technology works with existing TV and network connections. A third of the households in the US have the bandwidth needed; and over half already have HD TV's. All consumers would need to purchase would be a camera and set-top box from Cisco, and they would be ready to go at the push of a button.
