Users Of Facebook Show Privacy Concerns

Time and again Facebook has made sudden changes to its website and then faced a lot of heat from its users. The current issue, as reported by AllFacebook, which has caused uproar amongst the users, is the fact that in order to make the web more social, Facebook has updated privacy settings. According to Techtree.com, although the idea by itself was good, the manner of execution turned horribly wrong.
What went wrong is that Facebook users started noting that their profile details such as interests, likes and occupation details have been linked to Community Pages which are wrongly attributed and unofficial. For example, if someone likes some specific music artist, then that person’s profile automatically gets linked to the community pages for that particular music artist. Care is not taken to even ascertain if the community is official or not.
The pain of the user can be imagined, who has to first check if the detail has been linked to the correct community and secondly if it's not linked, then find the correct one and complete the link. Numerous brands, independent artists, sellers, buyers and freelancers depend up on social networks like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, et al for income. However, if there is a concern that these social networks aren't offering a proper structure and privacy features then people will move away from them.
The surprising thing is that although users claim that they hate the sudden changes that Facebook has been implementing, they stick around and continue using it. Presumably this is what gives Facebook the leeway to implement sudden changes. They have the confidence now that people will get used to the changes in a few weeks.
