According to "Bloom Boxes” TechCrunch, Bloom Energy is producing tiny fuel cell boxes called as “Bloom Boxes”. Two such boxes can power a U.S home.

These cells are already installed at companies like Google, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG), eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY), FedEx (NYSE: FDX), and others. Four of these boxes are already powering a Google datacenter for last 18 months. These boxes cost $700,000-$800,000 today, but eventually, the founder sees these boxes cost below $3000 a unit.

Bloom Energy has former Secretary of State Colin Powell on its Board of Directors, and has $400 million in funding.
