Sprint announced on Monday new data plans for tablets, mobile hotspots, USB, network cards and netbooks/notebooks which are significantly cheaper per GB than competitors AT&T and Verizon.

Keeping the same price point as AT&T and Verizon, Sprint will offer 6 GB of data for $49.99 per month and 12 GB for $79.99 monthly. These prices can compare to 5GB and 10 GB monthly for Verizon and AT&T. The two plans are available for mobile broadband devices with the exception of smartphones.

In addition to the two previous plans, mobile hotspot devices will have an option of 3 GB data for $34.99 monthly. Tablets will get a fourth option for data, 1 GB for $19.99 monthly. All the new plans are good for 3G and 4G data. The new plans are available for both new and existing customers.
