Stag Industrial Inc was incorporated in Maryland on July 21, 2010. The Company completed its initial public offering on April 20, 2011. The Company is an industrial real estate company focused on the acquisition, ownership and management of single-tenant net-leased industrial buildings throughout the United States. As of December 31, 2013, the Company had owned 209 buildings in 34 states with approximately 38.1 million rentable square feet, consisting of 142 warehouse/distribution properties, 47 light manufacturing properties and 20 flex/office properties. It also owned one vacant land parcel adjacent to one of its buildings. As of December 31, 2013, its buildings were 95.6% leased to 191 tenants, with no single tenant accounting for more than 2.8% of its total annualized rent and no single industry accounting for more than 12.6% of its total annualized rent. It competes with other public industrial property sector REITs, single-tenant REITs, income oriented non-traded REITs, private real estate fund managers and local real estate investors and developers. The Company's properties are subject to various laws, ordinances and regulations, including regulations relating to common areas and fire and safety requirements.
