EarthLink Holdings Corp was incorporated in 2013 as a Delaware corporation in connection with the Holding Company Reorganization. On December 31, 2013, through the creation of a new holding company structure, EarthLink, Inc. merged with EarthLink, LLC, which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of a new publicly traded parent company, EarthLink Holdings Corp. The Company together with its subsidiaries provides Communication and IT services, empowering businesses with a fully-managed, end-to-end communications, IT and virtualization portfolio including cloud computing, IT security, colocation, enterprise-class hosted applications, secure network connectivity and IT support services. The Company also operates an network including approximately 28,000 route miles of fiber, 90 metro fiber rings and eight secure enterprise-class data centers that provide data and voice IP service coverage in United States. The Company operates in two segments, Business Services and Consumer Services. The Company's Business Services segment provides a broad range of data, voice and IT services to retail and wholesale business customers, and its Consumer Services segment provides nationwide Internet access and related value-added services to residential customers. Its Business segments products & services includes; Data Services offering data and Internet services to business customers, including high-speed Internet access, dedicated Internet access and MPLS services; Voice Services offering voice services to business customers, including local, domestic and international switched access; IT Services offering cloud, data center, managed security, application and IT support services; Wholesale Services offers voice and data services to other communications carriers, to larger-scale providers of network capacity and to other businesses and Other Services lease server space and provide web hosting services. The Company's Consumer Services Segment products and services includes; Internet Access Services offering narrowband and broadband Internet access; Value-Added Services offering ancillary services sold as add-on features to Internet access services, such as security products, premium email only, home networking and email storage, among others. It faces competition from companies including AT&T, Inc., CenturyLink, Inc., MegaPath, Inc., Windstream Corporation, wireless and satellite service providers, Charter Communications, Inc., Comcast Corporation, AOL, Google and Yahoo and stand-alone VoIP providers. The Company's services are subject to varying degrees of federal, state and local regulation. The Company's EarthLink, EarthLink Business, EarthLink Carrier and PeoplePC trademarks are assets to business, and are registered trademarks in the United States.
