Drew Industries Inc was incorporated under the laws of Delaware on March 20, 1984. The Company through its wholly-owned subsidiaries supplies a full line of components for the manufacturers of recreational vehicles (RV) and manufactured homes. Through its subsidiary Lippert Components, also manufactures components for adjacent industries including buses; trailers used to haul boats, livestock, equipment and other cargo; truck caps; modular housing; and factory-built mobile office units. The Company has two reportable operating segments: the RV products segment and the manufactured housing products segment (MH Segment). In RV segment, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, the Company manufactures and markets many products used in the production of RVs, including: Steel chassis for towable RVs, Aluminum windows and screens, Chassis components, among others. Raw materials used by the RV segment, consisting of steel (coil, sheet, tube and I-beam), extruded aluminum, glass, wood, fabric and foam are available from a number of sources, both domestic and foreign. The Company's RV segment products are sold to manufacturers of RVs such as Thor Industries, Forest River, Jayco and other OEMs. In MH segment, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, the Company manufactures and markets many products used in the production of manufactured homes and to modular housing and mobile office units, including: Vinyl and aluminum windows and screens, Steel and fiberglass entry doors, Axles, Steel chassis, among others. Raw materials used by the MH Segment, consisting of steel (coil, sheet and I-beam), extruded aluminum and vinyl, glass, and ABS resin, available from a number of sources, both domestic and foreign. Its products are sold to producers of manufactured homes such as Clayton Homes, Cavco Industries, Inc. and other OEMs. Company's brands include: Extreme Custom Trailers, Happijac, Kinro, Lippert Components, among others. The Company's operations are subject to certain Federal, state and local regulatory requirements relating to the use, storage, discharge and disposal of hazardous materials used during the manufacturing processes.
