WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Dec. 2, 2009) - The Content Advisory Committee (CAC) for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights will be holding a public engagement session in Vancouver, BC to provide Canadians with the opportunity to help develop the content of the Museum. The aim of these sessions is to identify stories and perspectives that can be incorporated into the Museum, and to begin to establish an ongoing dialogue with Canadians on human rights issues.

The Museum invites human rights organizations, community groups, cultural organizations and individuals interested in engaging in these sessions to attend. The meeting will be available in French and English, and will be fully accessible.

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights was established to provide a place for Canadians, and the world, to explore and promote the subject of human rights and to encourage human rights action. Currently under construction in Winnipeg, it is the first national museum established in over 40 years, and it is the first national museum to be located outside the National Capital Region. It is projected to open in 2012.
