Home BancShares Set to Join S&P MidCap 400 and Chatham Lodging Trust to Join S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, May 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Home BancShares Inc. HOMB will replace Valspar Corp. VAL in the S&P MidCap 400, and Chatham Lodging Trust CLDT will replace Home BancShares in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open on Friday, June 2. S&P 500 constituent The Sherwin-Williams Co. SHW is acquiring Valspar in a deal expected to be completed on June 1.

Home BancShares provides commercial and retail banking and related financial services. Headquartered in Conway, AK, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Regional Banks Sub-Industry index.

Chatham Lodging Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT), primarily invests in premium-branded upscale extended-stay and select-service hotels. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Hotel & Resort REITs Sub-Industry index.
