A.M. Best to Launch New Client Rating Portal and Online SRQ

A.M. Best is pleased to announce a new web-based client rating portal that allows clients to interact with A.M. Best analytical teams.

The first phase of the portal deployment will enable clients to file their Supplemental Rating Questionnaires (SRQ) and it will act as the point of entry to electronically file financial statements. With the start of phase one, the SRQ platform no longer will be a desktop application system, and for non-U.S.-based entities, it will no longer be an Excel spreadsheet filing process. Subsequent releases of the portal will allow clients to further interact with A.M. Best analytical teams to exchange various types of documents and send messages and receive notifications.

The portal is scheduled for release to clients by mid-February 2017 so that clients can begin to assign employees and business partners access to the portal. The SRQ module is scheduled to be released by March 15, 2017, with a requested filing date back to A.M. Best by the end of April 2017. However, in the event there is an alternative fiscal year-end reporting date different from that of Dec. 31, 2016, the requested completion date generally is 10 weeks following the rated entity's fiscal year-end close. More details regarding the web-based SRQ platform via the new client portal, and changes for the 2016 SRQ questions will be released as they become available.
