Author Amelia V. Rogers released a book entitled Four Princesses from Provence. It was featured in the 23rd Beijing International Book Festival last August 24 to 28. The event was held at the China International Exhibition Center, located in the Shunyi District of Beijing.

The story is set in a time when noblewomen are used as pawns in playing the game of dynastic politics. It centers on the lives of Marguerite, Eleanor, Sancha, and Beatrice, the Count of Provence's four daughters. The four ladies have navigated themselves from their father's small kingdom in the south of France to powerful positions across Europe, with their charms, beauty, and intelligence as their assets.

Four Princesses from Provence is based on research on the history of thirteenth-century Europe and travels to the area where the princesses lived. The book chronicles a crucial period in Europe's emergence from the slumber of the Dark Ages and slow awakening toward the promise of modern life.
