CT retailer celebrates 65th anniversary with storewide sale

Stamford, CT (PRWEB) September 07, 2016

It's been a family affair ever since Stamford, CT-based County TV & Appliance opened its doors in 1951.

Heading into its fourth generation of family management and getting ready to celebrate its 65th anniversary amid much fanfare in September, the recently remodeled store long ago rightfully claimed top market share in Fairfield and Westchester Counties as one competitor after another bit the dust.

"Crazy Eddie's, Newmark & Lewis, Nobody Beats the Wiz - all of them and others have closed as we have thrived, growing stronger each and every year," said Philip De Terlizzi, the company's veteran sales and marketing director. "One need only go to the Internet and read the reviews in order to ascertain why we are so successful," he added. "The majority of customers label our service as nothing short of stellar."

And the fact that the service starts at the top with the store's ownership is reflected in this comment from a woman customer from Bronxville, NY, who purchased several appliances: "Completely seamless and trustworthy. Elio Vetrini (son of owner Vincent) was a gem throughout the entire purchasing process. He was informative, easy to talk to and made the whole transaction a pleasure. Not pushy at all and I did the entire thing without ever having to set foot in the store. He really couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful."

After the original owner, Jack Cohn, founded County TV & Appliance, his son, Lester, joined him in the business 13 years later, strengthening the company's focus on major appliances, electronics and televisions. Twelve years after that, Vincent Vetrini came aboard and rose to the position of general manager. He, combined with Lester, made County TV a household name that was repeatedly recognized by This Week In Consumer Electronics (TWICE) magazine as one of the 50 major appliance powerhouses in the country. The company was eventually transferred to Vincent Vetrini, whose son, Elio, is now the fourth-generation leader of County TV which has added the following descriptive to its logo: Your Smart Home Store.

He is taking over at an auspicious time; the company is a recent recipient of prestigious HOBI Awards from the Fairfield County CT Home Builders Remodelers Association (HBRA) for the Best Technology Showroom; and Supplier of the Year. And, as if for good measure, add the recognition as a Control 4 Platinum Dealer and a Sonos Gold Dealer to all the best name brands offered like Thermador, SubZero/Wolf, Gaggenau, Samsung, LG, Bosch, GE, Sony, Electrolux, Whirlpool and more.

On September 13th, the company will invite vendors, local government officials and select members of the public to a special dinner celebration at the store - but, more importantly, the week will be punctuated by a huge sales event for its customers, according to Philip De Terlizzi. From September 12th to the 17th, shoppers will receive up to $50 off purchases over $499, $100 off purchases over $1,000, and $200 off purchases over $2,000…with 0% financing extended to qualified buyers.

"Nobody's more important to us than our customer," he emphasized. "What makes us different is that we never sit back with a self-satisfied attitude because we always want to be better."

Exactly what one would expect from this service-oriented giant.
