U.S. National Synchronized Swim Team Swimsuits Printed on Epson SureColor F-Series Dye-Sublimation Printers

LONG BEACH, Calif., Dec. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Epson teamed with sportswear company Triflare to create swimsuits for Epson's "Swimming In Ink" event, that heralded the availability of Epson's innovative new EcoTankprinters with performances by the U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Team during a day-long product launch event in Times Square. Featuring a series of high-energy synchro swim performances in a 17,000 gallon multi-colored tank, the USA Synchro team wore original swimsuits designed by Triflare, the official competition apparel sponsor of USA Synchro. The Triflare original designs were printed using Epson® SureColor® F-Series dye-sublimation transfer printing technology.

"The Epson SureColor F-Series dye-sublimation printers enable endless design possibilities across the fashion and apparel industry, providing another level of creativity and functionality for both young fashion entrepreneurs and well established fashion brands looking to produce their art in a more efficient and affordable manner," said Tim Check, product manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America, Inc. "The Swimming In Ink event provided the ideal venue to showcase what the F-Series printers are capable of – printing designs with rich colors, deep blacks and fine details that attract attention."

The U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Team performed four routines throughout the day in custom designed suits paired with each routine and song. The swimsuit designs integrated cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) colors to represent the inks featured in the new EcoTank line of printers and incorporated a range of bold designs and shapes to help the suits stand out for the performances in the tank.

"We focus on designing and creating suits for USA Synchro with bright colors and creative prints, eliminating the need for extra weight for flashiness," said Andrea Robertson, founder, Triflare. "The end result is a lighter suit that complements the routines and the athletic performance. The designs for the Epson 'Swimming In Ink' event were truly brought to life by the F-Series printers – the vibrant suits had colors that popped, augmenting the performances perfectly and making the suits stand out, and when the backdrop is Times Square, that is saying something."
