Associa PCM Community Wins Water Conservation Award

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Nov. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Professional Community Management (PCM), an Associa company, is proud to announce that the Casta del Sol Homeowners Association received recognition from the Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) for being one of its Water Heroes for the month of November.

The Associa PCM managed community in Mission Viejo has complied with the mandated water restrictions and began a turf renovation project which earned the HOA $61,642.00 in rebates for phase 1. The project removes grass in large common areas while putting in attractive low-water use plants. Currently, the project is in phase 2 and on target for an additional rebate of up to $25,000.00. In addition, the Irrigation Control System by Signature Controls allowed the HOA to cut the overall water usage over 236 acres by 20-25%.

The SMWD Board of Directors presented the Water Hero commemorative plaque to Casta del Sol Board Treasurer Arthur Rosen, Greenbelt Committee Chair Randy Gish and Greenbelt Committee Member Linda Nohe.
