William "Sonny" Johnson to Serve as Pearl River Resort Interim President/CEO

The Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise (CRDE), a business enterprise of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, announced today that Vice President of Casino Operations, William "Sonny" Johnson will serve as interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Pearl River Resort, effective September 23, 2015.

The Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise (CRDE), a business enterprise of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, announced today that Vice President of Casino Operations, William "Sonny" Johnson will serve as interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Pearl River Resort, effective September 23, 2015.

The CRDE Board selected Mr. Johnson based on his executive level seniority and extensive experience in the gaming industry. Before joining Pearl River Resort, he served as Vice President of Gaming Operations for Golden Nugget Casino; Vice President of Gaming Operations for Turning Stone Resort and Casino; Director of Table Games for Gold Strike Casino and Resort; Director of Table Games for Beau Rivage. He has also held various leadership positions in table games for the Mirage organization.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada. He began his gaming career as a dealer and is a graduate of the Mirage Management Associate Program.
