Based in Pittsburgh, Pa., InventHelp is working to submit this idea, the 110-VOLT ELECTRIC ICE AUGER, to companies for their consideration.

PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) August 21, 2015

For fishermen looking for a way to enhance their ice fishing experience, they've come to the right place. Two inventors from Rice, Minnesota have discovered a way to keep an ice auger from making a mess in an ice house with the reverse feature.

They developed prototype for 110-VOLT ELECTRIC ICE AUGER to eliminate the need to recharge or replace batteries and/or refuel an ice auger. As such, it saves time and effort over other options available on the market. At the same, it is safer and more convenient than conventional gas-, propane- or battery-powered ice augers. Furthermore, it is practical, effective and affordably priced. It allows you to drill holes in the comfort of your own heated fish house and eliminates the risk of exposure to gas fumes while in the fish house. It is also ideal for reopening existing holes. The variable speed trigger eliminates messy ice all over the ice house.

The inventors were inspired by personal experiences. "I enjoy ice fishing," one of them said. "After many years of ice fishing, I desired a need to come up with an easier, cleaner, and warmer way to drill holes in my fish house."

The original design was submitted to the Edina office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
