Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) August 05, 2015

Victory Media announced today the opening of its 2016 Military Friendly® Employers survey assessment for leading companies looking to build sustainable, effective programs to recruit and retain talent from the military community. Based on more than a decade of research, Military Friendly® ratings have provided service members and their families with information about post-military education and career opportunities.

The 13th annual Military Friendly® Employers list will be derived from responses in this year's survey to over 100 questions in categories such as Recruiting Efforts, Recruiting Results, Retention of Military Employees, Guard & Reserve Policies and Outreach. Victory Media and its independent advisory board identify the survey categories critical to best hiring practices, complying with federal regulations and supporting veterans and military spouses. Submitted responses are scored through an automated survey platform and become a component of the Military Friendly® Employers ratings. Overall ratings are based on publicly available data, proprietary data gathered through the voluntary Military Friendly® Employers survey, and, beginning in 2016, voluntary data and reviews provided by veterans and military employees.

By participating in the Military Friendly® Employers survey, companies are able to incorporate the most current, unique data about their organization that is not captured elsewhere, giving service members and their families a well-rounded look at employment opportunities and programs.

Up to 400,000 service members, including Reservists and members of the Guard, leave military service each year seeking to further their education or to start a new career. The Guide to Military Friendly® Employers issue of G.I. Jobs® is distributed for free in all military transition classes, as well as throughout U.S. military bases and communities across the globe, reaching hundreds of thousands of transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and transition program managers each month—individuals who know and trust the tested Military Friendly® name.

Companies completing the 2016 Military Friendly® Employers survey have an opportunity to not only assess how they stack up against other organizations, but to understand how they can set themselves apart. That may be in the areas where they perform the strongest, or the areas in which the company can make improvements in constructing programs and career paths to attract military candidates, better training of staff to support military employees, and satisfying compliance requirements.

Employers may request their free survey link at http://www.militaryfriendly.com/startsurvey. The survey is open now through September 30th. More information about Military Friendly® ratings can be found on http://www.militaryfriendly.com.
