US Federal Contractor Registration: GSAP Provides Innovative Marketing Solutions for Government Contractors in 2015
WASHINGTON, DC --(Marketwired - July 16, 2015) - US Federal Contractor Registration has been innovating the way contractors market themselves to procurement officers since they opened their doors back in 2010. Their mandatory qualifying process helps small businesses determine which government marketing programs would be the best fit for their business model. US Federal Contractor Registration has also been providing GSA Programs to thousands of contractors that wish to be placed on a GSA Schedule (aka Federal Supply Schedule). GSA Schedules continue to be one of the best ways for contractors to win government awards.
GSA Schedule contracts are indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity long format contracts that are used through the General Services Administration (GSA). Businesses must become approved by the GSA in a yearlong approval process. The GSA Schedule process can be both extremely tedious and a huge undertaking for any business that is unfamiliar with the federal paperwork. US Federal Contractor Registration recently developed the GSAP (GSA Simplified Acquisition Program), which allows contractors to begin marketing to federal agencies and develop Past Performance while waiting on the results of their GSA Schedule Application.
Some of the advantages of the GSAP over a regular GSA Program include a monthly financing option, multiple small business marketing solutions and yearlong technical support from a US Federal Contractor Registration Case Manager. Most GSA Programs must be paid in full all at once and range in the high thousands per vendor.
Every Simplified Acquisition Program (SAP) comes with a GovKinex government-formatted website, email bid notifications, a list of Procurement Officers and Prime Contractors, a custom profile in a small business database and a System for Award Management (SAM) registration. The Simplified Acquisition Program starts immediately on sign up and begins marketing a business to federal buyers while a Case Manager facilitates all of the required GSA Schedule paperwork.
Businesses strive to be on a GSA Schedule because of how much the government invests into each specific schedule. Around $50 billion is spent each year through GSA MAS (Multiple Award Schedules) Schedules and 80% of the vendors on GSA Schedules are small businesses. Businesses that are registered for a GSAP must be financial stable, have been in business at least two years, provide Past Performance and provide products that are commercially available.
Businesses that would like to learn more about GSA Schedules and how to become enrolled in the GSAP can call the Contractor Hotline at (877) 252-2700 Ext 1. During the month of October, US Federal Contractor Registration will be conducting free Federal Marketplace Evaluations to all callers inquiring about the GSAP and/or GSA Program.
