Sureline Announces Support of Application Mobility for Windows

SANTA CLARA, CA --(Marketwired - June 09, 2015) - Sureline Systems is pleased to announce the launch of SUREedge 4.0, featuring application mobility in Hybrid and Heterogeneous environment for applications running on Windows™ Physical and Hyper-V™ virtual machines. An application comprising of one or more Physical server and / or virtual machines can be migrated between data centers or between data center and Cloud or between Clouds or to an alternate Hypervisor.

SUREedge is an agentless solution implemented by integrating with the Windows Remote Management interfaces and VSS™ APIs. Coupled with proprietary inline deduplication technology, multiple versions of an application are captured at configurable frequency. These versions a.k.a. recovery points are replicated to destination data center or cloud. Auto verification feature verifies the application consistency by booting the recovery points in a sandbox. Captured images can be translated to boot on any other Hypervisor or Cloud.

Thus with instant bootable application versions, an administrator ensures business continuity, disaster recovery, workload balancing across sites, data center migration or consolidation, expansion, maintenance without downtime. SUREedge features are complementary to Hyper-V replication to Windows Azure™ cloud as administrators now have the freedom to test with multiple versions of application state with configuring different resources allotted at data center and cloud. Moreover, Windows replication to Azure cannot replicate the physical server.
