Allianz Life Promotes Two Top Performers in Human Resources

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) promoted two leaders within its Human Resources department. The advancements of Michele Roepke to vice president Human Resources and Jill Rogers to assistant vice president Performance Management and Compensation add depth to the company's human resources capacity. Allianz Life is strengthened through its commitment to leadership development among its employees, such as Roepke and Rogers, who have nearly 50 years' experience between them.

As an HR vice president, Roepke provides business partners with HR services such as change management, succession planning, executive coaching and development as well as talent acquisition. With Roger's promotion, she leads the performance management strategy for Allianz Life including the employee incentive compensation program and manages the in-house HR assistance service for employees. Both leaders report to Chief HR Officer Suzanne Dowd Zeller.

Michele Roepke: More than 30 years' HR experience

Roepke has been with Allianz Life since 2008 first as a director and then as an assistant vice president in HR. In that role, she provided HR consulting support to business partners and developed a leadership building program for company directors. She also implemented the change management strategy for a major company infrastructure transition that affected most parts of the business. Prior to joining Allianz Life, Roepke was a VP in HR for CPP North America in Minneapolis for three years where she established the HR department of a newly acquired business headquartered in the United Kingdom. Before that, she gained more than 20 years of HR experience by holding various leadership positions with Minneapolis companies such as Metris Companies, Inc., TCF National Bank, Investors Bank and General Mills.

Roepke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn.

Jill Rogers: Experienced in employee engagement

Rogers joined Allianz Life in 2009 as a senior director where she provided HR support for the Marketing and Sales divisions. In that role, she facilitated team effectiveness training, led performance management for the company and counseled leadership to sustain a high level of employee engagement. Prior to her role with Allianz Life, Rogers held multiple HR roles with Walmart Stores, Inc. for more than 10 years. She was a market HR manager in the Woodbury, Minn. location where she provided HR services, led management training and built talent management strategies for 10 stores in the Minneapolis metro area. Prior to that, she held various roles as an employment advisor, personnel manager, project manager and trainer at the Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

Rogers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
