The CEO of app development company Wine Paradigm claims: "The foods you like reveal the wines you love", as the company introduces a new Free iOS app called Pocket Wine Profile, allowing users to discover their own taste profile. Pocket Wine Profile is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod, and can be downloaded from the App Store.

For most wine lovers, finding a wine they really like is a difficult task. The biggest issue is where to start. App development company Wine Paradigm have been researching this issue for a number of years and their CEO Mike Finegan says "The answer to which wines you like is literally under your nose, because: The foods you like reveal the wines you love".

Based on this principle, Wine Paradigm pioneered the first personal taste-profiling tool for wine lovers with the Pocket Wine app back in 2010. Now, having greatly enhanced their taste-profiling feature, they have introduced it as the Free iOS app Pocket Wine Profile – available for iPhone, iPad and iPod.

"This is a game-changer," says Mike Finegan, CEO of Wine Paradigm. "Now wine lovers can discover their taste profile, gaining an invaluable understanding of the styles of wine that best suit their palate."

All that is required to create a taste profile is to answer a short set of carefully designed questions on food preferences. The app then reveals the user's taste profile, showing percentage preferences for each of the 6 main table wine styles (3 for white wine and 3 for red). A commentary is included for both red and white wines, giving recommendations for grape varieties the user will love and ones they must try, as well as an adventurous choice and one to add to their wine wish list. The app also allows the user to sample many of the features of Wine Paradigm's main Pocket Wine app, along with an in-app purchase option to avail of the full Pocket Wine experience.

Pocket Wine Profile is free to download from the App Store and is designed for all Apple devices.
