Joset Wright-Lacy, President of the National Minority Supplier Development Council will receive the 2015 Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council President's Award at the GNEMSDC Awards Gala on Saturday, April 11 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Mrs. Wright-Lacy is being recognized for her leadership of the largest corporate membership organization in the world dedicated to the development of minority business.

Joset Wright-Lacy, President of the National Minority Supplier Development Council will receive the 2015 Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council President's Award at the GNEMSDC Awards Gala on Saturday, April 11 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Mrs. Wright-Lacy is being recognized for her leadership of the largest corporate membership organization in the world dedicated to the development of minority business. The NMSDC has 1,700 corporate members and over 12,000 certified minority business enterprises (MBEs).

Joset Wright-Lacy became President of the NMSDC in 2009, and since then has led the NMSDC on a significant strategic redesign. The number of regional affiliates has consolidated from 36 to 24, resulting in stronger regional councils capable of providing more substantial services to both corporate members and MBEs.

Past President Award recipients include former Governors Deval Patrick of Massachusetts and M. Jodi Rell of Connecticut, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, former Providence Mayor Angel Taveras and Cartus Corporation CEO, Kevin Kelleher.

Mrs. Joset Wright-Lacy earned a bachelors degree from Dennison University and a juris doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

The Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) is the regional affiliate of the NMSDC. The GNEMSDC covers the six New England states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire. The GNEMSDC Awards Gala on Saturday, April 11 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center will also recognize the outstanding achievements of certified MBEs and corporate members. This year represents the 40th year of continuous operation for the GNEMSDC.
