PartnerRe Appoints Greg Haft as Head of Catastrophe

PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

PartnerRe Ltd. PRE today announced that Greg Haft has been appointed Head of Catastrophe, subject to Bermuda immigration approval. Based in Bermuda, Mr. Haft is responsible for PartnerRe's worldwide catastrophe reinsurance business and reports to Emmanuel Clarke, CEO PartnerRe Global. Mr. Haft succeeds Brian Secrett, who has left the Company to pursue another opportunity.

Greg joined PartnerRe in 2013 from Markel Corporation, where he was Managing Director, Head of U.S. Property Catastrophe Underwriting. He has more than 20 years of industry experience. Mr. Haft holds a B.S. Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Michigan, is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is a Certified Cat Risk Analyst.
