SEATTLE, Jan. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tango Card and H&R Block tax software announce a strategic relationship to provide additional value to H&R Block do-it-yourself clients, using one of H&R Block's online or desktop software solutions. H&R Block clients who e-file their federal income tax return and are eligible for a refund have the ability to get even more this season through the new H&R Block refund bonus program. For clients who choose to purchase e-gift cards with a portion of their refund, H&R Block will add a bonus of up to 10%, which equates to a $280 bonus on the average refund of $2,800. Tango Card will build and manage the client's gift card selection and digital delivery process.

"We have always worked to give our clients the maximum refund they are due," says Jason Houseworth, President of Global Digital Tax Solutions at H&R Block. "This year we have taken it a step further and will add a bonus when our client chooses to purchase an e-gift card with a portion of their federal refund."

The H&R Block refund bonus program includes over 40 retailers, including The Home Depot, Target, AMC and Macy's just to name a few. "The H&R Block refund bonus program delivers tremendous benefit to H&R Block's clients and is yet another reason why we believe H&R Block gets clients the most at the best value. Tango Card gave us the platform and scale to enable this added benefit for our clients," Jason Houseworth continues.

"We are thrilled to be working with the team at H&R Block on such a unique program that has such a positive impact on H&R Block clients," said David Leeds, CEO of Seattle based Tango Card. "Partnering with companies like H&R Block on differentiated, results oriented enterprise incentive programs is our core competency. The right incentive offered and delivered in the right way and at the right time drives real business results. Digitally delivered gift cards are an especially powerful incentive which makes them a great choice for this program. From our very first discussion with Jason, it was clear our beliefs were aligned in delighting their clients and driving more business for H&R Block," concludes Leeds.

The program is available now. Program details, FAQs and a list of participating retailers can be found at http://www.hrblock.com/lp/refund-bonus.html
