Seagate's EVault Cloud Disaster Recovery Service Wins TMC's 2014 Data Center Excellence Award

Seagate Technology plc STX, a world leader in storage solutions, today announced that its EVault® Cloud Disaster Recovery (CDR) service has been named a data center excellence award winner from TMC, a global, integrated media company. The 2014 Data Center Excellence Awards recognize the most innovative and enterprising data center vendors who offer infrastructure or software, servers or cooling systems, cabling or management applications.

As part of the Seagate® Cloud Systems and Solutions portfolio, CDR is a fully managed service that guarantees rapid recovery of a company's mission-critical servers, applications, and data in the cloud - no matter what kind of outage they are facing, including a site disaster.

CDR customers select service level agreements (SLAs), based on business needs, that guarantee remote, secure recovery of their protected systems running in Seagate's secure cloud. The service includes a dedicated team of continuity and disaster recovery (DR) specialists who are available 24x7x365. If a customer faces a disaster the Seagate service team executes the entire recovery process within the timeframe designated by the SLA guarantee.

At the onset the Seagate service team works with customers to develop a customized end-to-end DR plan to ensure continuity of IT operations. The service also includes full testing; the failover and recovery of each protected system.
