The 7th Annual Production of A Christmas Carol to grace the stage of The Hanover Theatre December 19-28

Worcester, MA (PRWEB) December 18, 2014

Celebrate the holiday season at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts with New England's largest production of A Christmas Carol, December 19-28, 2014. Adapted and directed by Troy Siebels, executive director of The Hanover Theatre, this Charles Dickens classic has quickly become a family holiday tradition, warming the hearts of many throughout greater Worcester County. Tickets are available online at TheHanoverTheatre.org, by phone at 877.571.SHOW (7469), or at The Hanover Theatre box office located at 2 Southbridge Street in downtown Worcester.

A Christmas Carol tells the tale of curmudgeonly miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future, hoping to change his destiny and save his soul. This brilliant musical, set with dazzling effects, timeless music and colorful costumes, lighting and scenery, follows Scrooge through a series of strange and magical journeys, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season.

The seventh annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL is performed to the music of the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, New England's largest theatre pipe organ containing over 2,400 pipes. The organ offers audience members a unique sound, providing more breadth and variety to the production. A CHRISTMAS CAROL is tweaked and revised each year to keep the show young and fresh, but it still retains some of its core attributes which set it apart from other productions.

“The scale of the production and special effects is much greater than that of most of the Broadway national tours that play at The Hanover Theatre,” said Siebels. The seventh annual production showcases an array of special effects from four different kinds of smoke and fog, to spectacular flying effects, with the help of a California-based company called ZFX Inc.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL is recommended for children ages eight and up. Ticket prices are $28, $42 and $52* with a 10% discount available for members, groups of 10 or more, corporate partners, seniors, WOO Card holders, and AAA members.
