Diamond Bar, Calif. (PRWEB) December 18, 2014

NOVAtime Technology, Inc. (http://www.novatime.com) is pleased to announce that Wagstaff, Inc., provider of machinery, and solutions to aluminum producers, has upgraded from NOVAtime 3000 to NOVAtime 4000 STARbox, a bundled solution that provides many of the advantages of a SaaS solution with an on-premise system. The upgrade, implemented by NOVAtime authorized reseller DataPro Solutions, Inc., has benefited the Washington-based manufacturer with greater accessibility to the timekeeping system, flexible accrual options, and seamless integration with Mangrove payroll services.

Established in 1946 in Spokane, Washington, Wagstaff, Inc. is a leader in aluminum casting technology, providing machinery and services to companies in over 56 countries around the world and field representatives in Brazil, China, the UK, the Netherlands, Australia, Croatia, Russia, and Kentucky. Wagstaff Applied Technologies, a group within Wagstaff dedicated to the custom machining industry, services the nuclear, defense, semi-conductor, and OEM sectors with solutions in machining, process automation, and project management.

With over 400 employees spread across two US facilities (Spokane and Kentucky), Wagstaff, Inc. was challenged to find an integrated time and attendance solution that would allow their employees to access the solution from wherever they happened to be— whether on the manufacturing shop floor, in office areas, or on the road. With the 100% web-based NOVAtime 4000 STARbox solution, Wagstaff, Inc. found just such a solution. Combining the NOVAtime 4000 software with a fixed configuration server, NOVAtime 4000 STARbox is a bundled solution that eliminates hardware variables, while ensuring up-to-date software with minimal IT intervention. Importantly, the Spokane-based manufacturer's employees and supervisors can access the system's complete time and attendance functionality via the web.

According to Don Sauve, Programmer/Analyst with Wagstaff, supervisors especially appreciate how the system streamlines their workforce management processes. “Supervisors mainly use the system for employee scheduling and processing PTO requests. They like the real-time updates from clocks on employee transactions and the ease with which timesheets can be approved.”

For the manufacturer's IT administrators, the NOVATime 4000 STARbox solution proved more flexible and reliable than their previous time and attendance system. “With NOVAtime, we could add a second site on the same system. Previously, we had our two US facilities on separate systems,” explains Mr. Sauve. “The NT65000 and NT450 clocks are great too. They stay up and running even when we have to take our server down for maintenance. Using HID badges simplifies clocking in and out for our employees, and one of the clocks also controls a buzzer system that lets employees know when it's break time.”

For Wagstaff's payroll administrators, the new system's flexibility is also key. “NOVAtime 4000's accrual options have been able to meet Wagstaff's new and changing business needs,” says Mr. Sauve. “The system also provides integration with Mangrove, our payroll provider.”

Wagstaff is a long-time client of DataPro Solutions, Inc. (http://www.datapronw.com/), a NOVAtime authorized reseller and full-service Labor Cost Management and Business Workforce Management Systems company based in the Pacific Northwest, and was expertly assisted by DataPro through the original NOVAtime 3000 implementation in 2008 and the recent upgrade to NOVAtime 4000 STARbox. Mr. Sauve lauds DataPro Solutions Inc., saying, “They do a great job for us, whether at implementation, upgrade, or general question resolution. Susan Braithwaite, Phil Chiaramonte, Jim Weyen, and Tom Mawn have all exceeded our expectations with a great product and support for that product.”

As a leader in workforce management technology, NOVAtime is proud to team with DataPro Solutions, Inc. to provide Wagstaff, Inc. with a state-of-the art time and attendance / workforce management solution.
