ROILCOM Selects Hughes Technology for Major Satellite Network Upgrade

GERMANTOWN, Md., Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), the global leader in broadband satellite solutions and services, today announced that it has been selected to provide a major network upgrade for one of Russia's largest satellite service providers.

ROILCOM LLC has agreed to purchase a Hughes HX Gateway and 240 VSATs (very small aperture terminals) to modernize its system and extend its networking capabilities. This technology upgrade builds on ROILCOM's relationship with Hughes which began in 2007, and brings to ROILCOM an array of advanced features, including mesh services operating over single satellite hops between remote sites.
