Rentrak Cross-Platform Entertainment Rankings - November 11, 2014

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak RENT, the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced the top weekly cross-platform entertainment rankings for Nov. 11, 2014.

"Interstellar" enjoyed an out-of-this-world global weekend debut, topping both the international rankings with $82.9 million and the worldwide chart with more than $130 million.

In North America, "Big Hero 6" was the hero of the weekend. It made its box office debut at number one with $56.2 million, while "Interstellar" had film buffs and general audiences abuzz landing in second with $47.5 million.

In DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales and rentals action, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" led sales, and R-rated comedies "Neighbors" and "Sex Tape" topped rentals last week.

Movies on Demand saw two summer hits in the top spots, with "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Sex Tape" leading the way.

The Oct. 26 episode of "The Walking Dead" had the most engaged viewers on cable and the most social media activity across multiple platforms out of all broadcast and cable telecasts.
