New Head of BMO Nesbitt Burns Charyl Galpin Named One of Canada's Most Powerful Women of 2014

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 26, 2014) - Charyl Galpin, who was recently appointed Head, BMO Nesbitt Burns, has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women of 2014 by the Women's Executive Network (WXN).

The awards celebrate and honour the professional achievements of strong female leaders across the country and span the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. This year's winners will be celebrated at the 12th Annual Canada's Most Powerful Women Awards Gala in Toronto on November 27th.

In selecting Ms. Galpin, WXN cited her "fearless and exemplary management, vision and leadership role in the community" as well as the performance of BMO Nesbitt Burns.

As Head of BMO Nesbitt Burns, Ms. Galpin is responsible for overseeing BMO Financial Group's full-service investing and wealth advisory business in Canada. The firm consists of an extensive network of more than 1,300 investment advisors at 60 branches across the country.

Ms. Galpin first joined BMO Financial Group in 1979. During her career at the bank, she has developed a deep knowledge of the business, shown an ongoing commitment to client needs and been a champion of workplace diversity and mentoring.
