CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced at the 2014 BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Expo the availability of its latest self-service kiosk solution, the Personal Teller Machine. Engineered specifically for retail banking transactions, Source Technologies' 6-Series Personal Teller Machine resides in the branch and communicates with the teller platform to automate transactions.

As pioneers in self-service banking kiosks, Source Technologies offers a fully customizable Personal Teller Machine, including customer authentication, multi-denomination cash accept/dispense, check/credit/debit card processing and is the first self-service kiosk to offer on-demand official checks as a part of a larger teller automation solution. The new kiosk has the smallest footprint in the transactional kiosk industry at just over one square foot, and can reside anywhere within the branch without impacting displays or foot traffic. The kiosk also allows full network management, system monitoring and digital advertising.

Source Technologies' Personal Teller Machine utilizes industrial grade, long-life components including the latest projective capacitive touch technology screen – the same technology pioneered by Apple for the iPhone. The kiosk's all-metal enclosure also ensures durability over time. The Personal Teller Machine is also built on a configurable software platform for the design, development, testing and maintenance of self-service applications.

Additionally, the Personal Teller Machine:

  • Reduces in-store queues, improving customer service;
  • Improves customer relations through its multilingual offering;
  • Enables bank staff to focus on up-selling/cross-selling;
  • Reduces operational costs; and
  • Enhances retail space utilization.

“Our goal was to develop the most innovative, high-tech transactional kiosk design available in the market that maximizes customer engagement while reducing costs,” said Keith Hamilton, president and CEO of Source Technologies. “As the industry continues to transition to the ‘branch of the future' model, financial institutions must leverage modern technologies that automate transactions, enabling personnel to fulfill more consultative roles.”
