Choice Logistics Names James Adams Chief Operating Officer

Choice Logistics, the leading provider of enterprise-grade supply-chain solutions, today announced that Senior Vice President James Adams has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position within Choice. Adams previously managed global sales and client services and will continue to report to Michael Katz, CEO of Choice.

Effective immediately, Adams will assume global responsibility for operations, services, and sales. Additionally, he is accountable for strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and the client experience.

Adams joined Choice in January of 2014 from the premium logistics company Panther, where as Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations he doubled worldwide revenues in 5 years and sold the company to Arkansas Best Corporation ABFS. Prior to Panther, Adams worked at PwC Consulting where he helped global technology companies optimize their supply-chains. Adams began his career at 3M as a Project Engineer where he directed lean manufacturing initiatives in North America and Europe.

Adams holds a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BSME with Honors in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
