Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods To Open on May 21, 2015

Foxwoods Resort Casino announced today that the Grand Opening of the new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods will be held on May 21, 2015. Once complete, the $120 million, 300,000-square-foot project will feature 82 upscale branded and designer outlet retailers including: American Eagle Outfitters, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Fossil, Gap Outlet, LOFT Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Skechers, Steve Madden, Tommy Hilfiger and many more.

Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods will be the first Tanger Outlets destination linked to a casino. It is being developed in partnership with the Gordon Group LLC. Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods has already had a positive economic impact on southeastern Connecticut through the creation of an estimated 400 jobs during the construction phase of the project and will generate an estimated $10.4 million in annual sales tax once completed.

Construction on the new Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods began in September 2013. Highlights include:

• 62,935 pounds of bolts and 109,622 linear feet of 8,020,371 pounds of steel used
• 65,000 cubic yards of rock were removed from the site, enough to fill 25 Olympic-sized swimming pools
• The largest crane on the site had a 400-foot high boom capable of lifting 330 tons, roughly the weight of 200 automobiles at once
• 10,000 yards of concrete will be poured, enough to build a sidewalk from Foxwoods to Hartford
