Lymphoma Research Foundation Convenes Leading Medical Experts For Comprehensive Educational Forum

19th Annual North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma Returns to West Coast

The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation's largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – is set to host its 19th annual North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma in Manhattan Beach, CA from October 24-26. This two and a half day program represents the most comprehensive lymphoma-specific educational conference in North America, providing patients with critical information on treatment options, support issues, clinical trials, and the latest advances in lymphoma research.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation will bring patients and their loved ones together with members of the greater lymphoma community -- including doctors, nurses, and industry experts -- to participate in disease-specific educational tracks, expert panel presentations, new therapy and clinical trial informational sessions, and networking opportunities. This year's Forum will also feature a special CLL track for those affected by chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

This year's program is co-chaired by Dr. Nancy Bartlett and Dr. Leo Gordon, FACP, Abby and John Friend Professor of Cancer Research, Professor in Medicine, Director Lymphoma Program, Co-Director Hematologic Malignancies Program, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and Medical Director of the John and Lillian Matthews Center for Cellular Therapy. Drs. Bartlett and Gordon have assembled more than 53 lymphoma specialists and support experts from around the world to present at the 2014 Educational Forum.
