BOSTON, Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Global Buy-Write Opportunities Fund ETW, a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and six months ended June 30, 2014. The Fund's fiscal year ends on December 31, 2014.

For the three months ended June 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $6,904,410 ($0.065 per share). For the six months ended June 30, 2014, the Fund had net investment income of $19,792,762 ($0.186 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $7,678,948 ($0.072 per share). For the six months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $12,776,368 ($0.120 per share).

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended June 30, 2014 were $53,017,948 ($0.501 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the six months ended June 30, 2014 were $60,120,043 ($0.568 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended June 30, 2013 were $12,610,131 ($0.118 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the six months ended June 30, 2013 were $30,070,639 ($0.283 per share).

On June 30, 2014, net assets of the Fund were $1,415,347,114. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2014 was $13.30 based on 106,442,735 shares outstanding. In comparison, on June 30, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $1,297,214,438. The net asset value per share on June 30, 2013 was $12.19 based on 106,442,735 shares outstanding.
