Orient Paper, Inc. Announces Annual General Meeting and Subsequent "Open House" Tour of Company Facilities

BAODING, China, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Orient Paper, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ONP) (the "Company"), a leading manufacturer and distributor of diversified paper products in North China, today announced that it will hold its annual general meeting on October 21, 2014 in Beijing, China.

At the annual meeting, the following proposals will be submitted for stockholder approval and are fully described in the Proxy Statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 29, 2014.

1. To elect three directors in Class II to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company, with such Class II directors to serve until the 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders and until their respective successors have been duly elected and qualified or until his earlier resignation, removal or death;
2. To conduct a "say-on-pay" advisory vote to approve executive compensation;
3. To ratify the appointment of BDO China Shu Lun Pan CPAs LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014; and
4. To act on such other matters as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment or adjournments thereof.

Shareholders of record at the close of business on September 8, 2014 will be eligible to receive notice and vote at the annual meeting.

Following the annual general meeting, the Company will hold an "Open House" tour of its factories in Baoding and the tissue paper facilities construction site in the Wei County Industrial Park for interested investors and analysts. The Company will provide round-trip transportation for those wishing to participate in the tour. Investors interested in staying overnight will need to make their own accommodation arrangements. The Open House is part of the Company's ongoing program to enhance transparency for investors.
