FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:  PKT), the global Subscriber Experience company, today announced that Vice President of Global Marketing Cam Cullen will deliver a presentation at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® on the topic "Maximizing Subscriber Quality of Experience (QoE) in Hybrid DOCSIS Environments," Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 a.m. MDT in Room 203.

Multi-System Operators (MSOs) face challenges in managing data traffic congestion because of the differences between various versions of the DOCSIS standard that may be currently deployed on their networks. The presentation will explore new forms of congestion management and traffic shaping to improve subscriber QoE in these environments, and will compare and contrast that with existing methods. Cullen's presentation is part of a larger session titled, "Maximizing QoE to the Home," moderated by Daniel Howard, senior vice president of engineering and CTO at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).

Additionally, in booth 1323 Procera Networks will demonstrate Internet Insights, the first in the Internet Intelligence Center product family designed to provide unique perspectives on network traffic for the different audiences within an operator including executive, marketing, engineering, and customer service teams. As the visualization of critical key performance indicator data becomes a top-of-mind concern for all network operators, Procera's perspective-based approach highlights information that is most critical to each relevant audience in a visually compelling interface.

The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, held September 22-25 in Denver, brings engineers and executives from leading MSOs under one roof to discuss the top challenges and business opportunities facing the cable industry, and how they can be addressed.
