ANNAPOLIS, Md., Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) TSYS, a world leader in highly reliable and secure mobile communication technology, today announced the promotion of Ms. Lynne Seitz to Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Safety & Security Group. This appointment of Ms. Seitz, a 17-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, is the latest milestone in her career supporting customers' commercial and public safety initiatives.

News Facts

  • For more than 11 years, Ms. Seitz has worked at TCS, most recently as Vice President of the Location Products business unit. She was responsible for P&L of the company's wireless platform portfolio, including mobile positioning, infrastructure, satellite reference solutions and location request routing services. She led product development as well as long-term financial, marketing, and sales strategies for competitive and differentiating location-based services platforms across 2G, 3G, and LTE networks.
  • The promotion of Ms. Seitz is due, in part, to her proven performance in past roles. She was directly responsible for broadened business development, increased revenue growth, and optimized functionality for mobile and telecommunications technologies. Prior to her location products marketing responsibilities, Ms. Seitz held various roles within TCS' public safety business areas, including resource, product and project management, and customer support.
  • Prior to joining TCS, Ms. Seitz worked for several leading telecommunications companies, where she provided critical leadership and support for product development, network operations, network and system engineering, and project/program management. She also built and integrated teams for time-sensitive public safety services, including E9-1-1 and lawful intercept, while ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance across corporate products and services.

TCS Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Richard A. Young, said, "Lynne has been an integral part of TCS' success. Her innovative ideas, hard work and dedication to our customers will ensure that TCS remains a national leader in public safety communications. Under her guidance, our Safety & Security Group will continue to work side-by-side with our technology partners and public safety customers to advance emergency communications for the benefit of all communities nationwide."
